泰德父母死時、他才六歲。。
但他的姨媽給他一個家、並全心歡迎他
。泰德最後當了牧師。
姨媽臨終前、接到泰德的一封信、上面寫著：
『多年前我離開了死氣沈沈的地方、不知往哪兒去、也不知是否有人在乎我。
但後來我投入妳溫暖的懷抱、也擁有了新的家。
我是被迎接進去的、我覺得安全，謝謝妳為我做的這一切。。
現在妳時候到了，妳的房間耶穌預備好了、燈是亮著的、門是開著的。
信主的妳不需畏懼死亡，因為耶穌已經走在妳前頭。
祂為妳預備好了、等候妳投入祂溫暖的懷抱。。』
John Todd was six when his parents died.
His aunt offered him a home and welcomed him whole- heartedly .
Todd eventually became a minister.
When his aunt was dying, Todd wrote to her,
"Years ago I left a house of death
not knowing where I was going, whether anyone cared,
but finally I arrived to your warm embrace and a new home.
I was welcomed, I felt safe, thanks for doing all this for me,
now it's your turn to go.
Your room's ready, the light's on, the door's open,
Christians don't need to fear death because Jesus went ahead,
well-prepared and He'll be waiting for you."
